Background Design & Props

This is the page for our Background Design and also for various props (sketches of clocks, alarm clocks etc that will be in the backgrounds).

This is what we need backgrounds/sketches for:

Morning scenes:

Sketches of the bedroom.
Close up of man's alarm clock
View of man in bed (seen from above)
Underside of bed as man puts slippers on
Shot of a showerhead in the bathroom (side angle)
Shot of a toaster

Drive to work scenes:

Sketches of cars - Front view!
At work scenes:

Sketches of man's office cubicle (seen from front)
Men's toilet door

Evening scenes:

Sketches of microwaves.
Sketches of man's living room. Must include chair and TV (and a Grandfather clock?).

Train scenes:

Sketches of wristwatches. (Close up of wristwatch)
Railway track sketches (where the man will be lying on the tracks).
Empty train station sketches.
Shot of electronic timetable.

This might seem like quite a bit, but we're 6 people. Let's divide fairly between us on Tuesday.

So here is first a sketch for the first scene, where we see a close up of an alarm clock changing from 07:29 to 07:30. Perspective on the alarm clock is a little weird, but is the angle etc what we want?

Floorplans. Here are some sketches for bedroom, kitchen and living room floorplans. Don't think the living room one works, but all we need to be seeing is the man sitting in his chair eating dinner while watching TV. This will be quite a quick shot. Emelia is working on this scene. I think the floorplan of the bedroom works quite well though. The kitchen will hardly be seen, it will mainly be a close-up shot of the man putting in toast or putting something in the microwave, so the floorplan doesn't really matter at all. Anyways:

Oscar here, just wondering what angle Lukas wants for the "sitting on bed shot" (or any other changes)

here are a few water colour paintings of the clocks
just to give an idea of what the backgrounds will look like once coloured

Example of alarm clock close up shots (Note: these are all done in Photoshop, but the background is originally intended to be watercoloured, so this is not final):
